Chip - RCA 1802 Microprocessor chip (1974)

The 1802 were RCA 'central processing unit of simple treatment of piece of S first and were a par at Intel 8080. The 1802 were employed in the kit of microcomputer of COSMAC and the versions hardened by space were the brains Voyager, the Viking, and the spaceship of Galileo. He had sixteen registers of 16 bits, which could be reached as thirty-two 8 registers of bit.

  1. Note that it has been verified that the RCA COSMAC CDP1802 microprocessor was NOT used in the Voyager and Viking space probes. It was used in the Galileo spacecraft and other spacecraft. See wikipedia under RCA 1802.
